Stonhard Transforms Exterior Entrance of Luxury Condominium Property with Sophisticated and Slip-Resistant Crush Flooring

Luxury Condo Faces Safety Hazards and Undermined Curb Appeal

The entrance of The Harper, a luxury condominium tower in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse neighborhood, identified the need to address its deteriorating tile floor at its exterior entrance. Recognizing the potential safety risks posed by uneven surfaces, decision-makers acted promptly to mitigate hazards for residents and visitors. In addition to safety concerns, they acknowledged that the entrance’s worn appearance no longer aligned with the upscale aesthetic expected of a high-end residential property. The property management team prioritized finding a durable solution that enhances safety and visual appeal while withstanding daily exposure to the elements.

Crush flooring by Liquid Elements, Stonhard's luxury brand of seamless floors, replaces worn tile at The Harper’s entry, delivering a slip-resistant, weather-ready surface.

An up close look at the natural aggregate in Crush reveals the texture and depth that create both visual sophistication and reliable slip resistance.

UV and Slip-Resistant Crush Flooring Restores Luxury and Safety to Entrance of Upscale Condominum

After removing the tile using jackhammers, Stonhard prepared the substrate and leveled the floor with Stonset TG6, a moisture-tolerant, high-performance grout. Crush, from Liquid Elements, Stonhard’s brand of luxury seamless floors, was then installed to deliver a durable, slip-resistant surface with a chic, sophisticated, natural look. The new flooring system eliminated tripping hazards and elevated the entrance design, complementing the luxury character of the building. Project planners were delighted with the results, knowing their choice would provide lasting durability with refined aesthetics for The Harper’s high-traffic entryway.
