Environmental Product Declarations are standardized documents that communicate a product’s environmental impact data based on life-cycle assessment methodology. They provide architects, designers, specifiers, contractors, and owners with credible, transparent information to support material evaluations, project documentation, and submittals for sustainability-focused projects.
The publication of these EPDs represents a key step in Stonhard’s broader sustainability and transparency efforts. In addition to supporting customers seeking environmental data for green building programs, procurement requirements, and internal sustainability goals, the declarations reflect Stonhard’s continued investment in responsible manufacturing and product stewardship.
“Publishing these EPDs reflects Stonhard’s commitment to continuously improving and measuring the environmental impact of our products,” Chris Trageser, Stonhard’s Technical Sustainability Manager, said. “They provide a clear picture of product performance across the lifecycle and support informed decision-making for sustainability-focused projects.”
The new EPDs expand Stonhard’s available sustainability documentation, complementing other disclosures and certifications already in place, including Health Product Declarations (HPDs) and CDPH VOC Emissions Certificates for applicable products. Additional EPDs are also planned as part of the company’s continued efforts to broaden environmental transparency across its product portfolio.
Stonhard product-specific EPDs and related sustainability documentation can be accessed through the company’s LEED and Sustainability Hub as well as product pages on its website.
